Łupawa – the most extreme river in Pomerania! (multi-day trip)
A route ideal for those who don't mind water in the kayak, aren't afraid of capsizing and know how to patch a hole in their boat. Hold on tight – here's the Łupawa! The wild river resembles a fast mountain stream, where there are far more rapids and obstacles than calm current.
If you manage to tear your eyes away from reading the water for a moment, you'll see picturesque, high and steep hills and the old primeval forest covering the banks. It's really worth coming here – you'll have stories to tell when you get back.
What awaits you on the water
The upper section and Lake Jasień
The upper Łupawa flows through the scenically interesting Lake Jasień – the largest in the Słupia Valley Landscape Park. It's a calmer introduction before what the river shows further on.
A force of nature for the experienced
Lower down the Łupawa turns into a swift, stony obstacle course: strong rapids, boulders and fallen trees demand reflexes and the ability to read the water. It's a river for the experienced who seek real thrills.
A finish by the Baltic
The expedition leads all the way towards the coast – towards Lake Gardno and the Słowiński National Park. It's a powerful crowning of one of the most demanding rivers in Pomerania.
